The Norwegian Short Film Festival is a short- and documentary film festival with a competition program in Norwegian and international short films, Norwegian documentaries and music videos.

In addition, we show international documentaries, organize seminars and workshops, concerts, boat trips and many other exciting film programmes. The festival is an important meeting place for young people as well as for established filmmakers and the film community in Norway.

During the festival, talks are held several times a day between directors, film staff, producers, representatives of the film industry and the audience. For the Short Film Festival, it is important to build bridges and transfer expertise between the generations as part of developing Norwegian film. The competition for international short films also draws filmmakers from the rest of the world to Grimstad, and the festival wants to facilitate contacts between the Norwegian and international film community.

The Short Film Festival is Norway's second oldest film festival and takes place every year in idyllic southern Grimstad.
